by American Association of Law Libraries

The 107th Annual Meeting & Conference of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) took place from July 12 to 15, 2014, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. This premier event brought together legal information professionals from across the nation to explore the latest developments in law librarianship and legal information management.

The conference featured a diverse array of sessions covering key topics such as demand-driven acquisitions for e-books, the concept of bookless libraries, and the role of customer feedback in vendor decisions. Additionally, a special track developed in collaboration with the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) focused on the intersection of library services and technology, highlighting the evolving partnership between librarians and IT professionals.

Attendees had ample opportunities for networking through events like the Opening Reception in the Exhibit Hall, daily coffee talks, and the Association Luncheon. The Exhibit Hall showcased the latest tools and services from legal publishers and system vendors, providing a platform for attendees to engage directly with industry leaders and explore new products.

This conference was ideal for law librarians, legal information specialists, and technology professionals seeking to stay abreast of industry trends, enhance their professional skills, and connect with peers and vendors in the legal information community.
