The "Law Firm 2020" session was part of the Law Library Association of Greater New York's (LLAGNY) 75th Anniversary Education Conference, held on January 14, 2014, at New York University School of Law. LLAGNY, established in 1938, is dedicated to enhancing the professional standing of law librarians and serves the legal information community in the New York metropolitan area.

The "Law Firm 2020" session focused on the evolving landscape of law firms and the legal profession, addressing anticipated changes and challenges leading up to the year 2020. Key topics included the integration of technology in legal practices, shifts in client expectations, and the development of new business models within law firms. The session aimed to equip legal professionals with insights and strategies to adapt to these transformations.

In addition to the educational sessions, the conference featured vendor exhibits from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, providing attendees with opportunities to explore the latest legal information resources and technologies. The day concluded with a Winter Social from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, featuring keynote speaker Bruce MacEwen, also known as Adam Smith, Esq., who shared his perspectives on the future of the legal industry.

The conference was designed for law librarians, legal information professionals, and others in the legal field seeking to stay informed about industry trends and developments. Attendees benefited from a comprehensive program that combined educational content with networking opportunities, enhancing their professional knowledge and connections.
