The Sedona Conference Institute 2017 eDiscovery Negotiation Training: Practical Cooperative Strategies
The Sedona Conference Negotiation Training is an intensive, invitation-only program designed to enhance participants' skills in eDiscovery negotiations. Organized by The Sedona Conference Institute (TSCI), this program brings together leading jurists, in-house counsel, outside counsel, and eDiscovery experts to develop practical strategies for effective negotiation in complex pretrial litigation.
The training focuses on practical cooperative strategies to avoid or resolve conflicts in the preservation, collection, production, and use of electronically stored information. Participants engage in mock Rule 26(f) conferences and a mock Rule 16(b) case management conference, covering topics such as preservation, scope of discovery, form of production, privilege, and the handling of social media, messaging apps, ephemeral data, and AI-generated content.
The program is structured to provide a highly participatory experience, with a low instructor-to-participant ratio to ensure personalized feedback and critique. Due to its selective nature, the program is limited to a small group of participants, fostering an environment conducive to in-depth learning and skill development.
This program is ideal for legal professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in eDiscovery negotiation. By participating, attendees can enhance their ability to navigate complex discovery issues, leading to more efficient and cost-effective litigation processes.
