The International Trademark Association (INTA) hosted its 140th Annual Meeting from May 19 to May 23, 2018, at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington. This premier event brought together over 10,000 trademark practitioners and intellectual property professionals from more than 150 countries, providing a global platform for discussing the latest developments and challenges in trademark law and practice.
The meeting featured a comprehensive program covering a wide array of topics, including strategies for combating counterfeit goods in the global marketplace, intellectual property issues in the era of artificial intelligence, and insights into influencer marketing's return on investment. Sessions also addressed the impact of Brexit on various IP rights and compliance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation.
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in various networking events, such as receptions for in-house practitioners and regional gatherings for professionals from India, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. The exhibition hall showcased over 100 exhibitors, including trademark solution providers, law firms, media companies, and government offices.
