The AALL Annual Meeting & Conference is the premier educational and networking event for legal information professionals, organized by the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). The 2019 conference, themed "Capitalizing On Our Strengths," took place from July 13 to 16 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
The conference featured over 80 educational sessions across six key domains: Professionalism and Leadership at Every Level, Research and Analysis, Information Management, Teaching and Training, Marketing and Outreach, and Management and Business Acumen. These sessions addressed the evolving challenges and opportunities within the legal information profession, providing attendees with insights into the latest trends and best practices.
In addition to the educational sessions, the event included an exhibit hall with 85 exhibiting companies showcasing the latest products and services in legal information. Attendees also had numerous opportunities for networking through more than 200 meetings and social events, facilitating connections among peers and industry leaders.
The conference attracted over 2,000 attendees, including 75 international participants from 11 countries. This diverse gathering provided a platform for legal information professionals from various backgrounds to collaborate, share knowledge, and advance the profession collectively.
