Southeastern Association of Law Schools 2019 Annual Conference
The Southeastern Association of Law Schools (SEALS) 2019 Annual Conference was held from July 28 to August 3, 2019, at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Florida. This annual gathering brought together legal educators, scholars, and professionals to engage in discussions on various aspects of legal education and scholarship.
The conference featured a diverse array of sessions and workshops covering topics such as health law, professional responsibility, and legal pedagogy. Notable sessions included the "Writing Connections Workshop," which focused on fostering inclusive classroom environments, and the "Professional Responsibility Workshop," where authors presented their forthcoming book on women shortlisted for the U.S. Supreme Court.
Attendees had opportunities to participate in mock interviews designed to prepare prospective law teachers for the academic job market. The event also facilitated networking among peers and provided a platform for sharing research and teaching strategies.
The conference was particularly beneficial for law faculty, administrators, and legal scholars seeking to stay abreast of developments in legal education and to collaborate with colleagues from various institutions.
