eDiscovery 2020 Webinar

by National eDiscovery Leadership Institute (NeLI)

The eDiscovery 2020 Webinar was a two-hour online event organized by the National eDiscovery Leadership Institute (NeLI). This webinar aimed to navigate the complex ethical challenges present in modern eDiscovery practices, offering participants an engaging and informative experience.

The first segment, titled "The Ethical Edge - Do you have to look and, if you do, do you have to tell?", delved into ethical considerations in eDiscovery, particularly focusing on Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 26(g). Panelists examined overlooked ethical concerns in contemporary eDiscovery methods, from data collection to production.

The second segment, "The Ethics Inferno - Move up and to the right!", featured an interactive game designed to test attendees' understanding of legal ethics in eDiscovery. Participants analyzed various eDiscovery decisions within a model case involving Technology-Assisted Review, aiming to ascend to "Ethical Paradise" while avoiding the "Ethical Inferno."

This webinar was particularly beneficial for legal professionals seeking to enhance their ethical acumen in eDiscovery. It provided practical insights and interactive learning opportunities, making it a valuable resource for attorneys, paralegals, and eDiscovery specialists.
