"Left Out and Left Behind: A Discussion of Women of Color in the Legal Profession" is a panel discussion that took place on October 20, 2020, at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Law. The event featured prominent figures such as Paulette Brown, Senior Partner and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Locke Lord LLP; Ashley V. Gantt of Shutts & Bowen LLP; Janice Haywood from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Rohan Kelley of The Kelley Law Firm, PL; Elena Marie Marty-Nelson, Associate Dean for Diversity, Inclusion, and Public Impact & Professor of Law; and Olympia Duhart, Associate Dean for Faculty and Student Development & Professor of Law.

The panelists discussed the American Bar Association's (ABA) Commission on Women in the Profession's report titled "Left Out and Left Behind: The Hurdles, Hassles, and Heartaches of Achieving Long-Term Legal Careers for Women of Color."
