Legal and Ethical Considerations in Securitized Loan Transactions Webinar

The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) hosted a webinar titled "Legal and Ethical Considerations in Securitized Loan Transactions" on July 15, 2020. This program was organized by the Business Law Section of NYSBA and featured a panel of esteemed legal professionals.

The webinar covered critical topics including the securitization of loans and the circumstances under which loans become securities, an in-depth analysis of the Woodbridge Companies Litigation, and the ethical considerations attorneys must navigate in securitized loan transactions.

The panel featured Troy A. Paredes, founder of Paredes Strategies LLC and former SEC Commissioner; Jay L. Hack, partner at Gallet Dreyer & Berkey, LLP; and Peter W. LaVigne, partner at Goodwin Procter and Chair of the Business Law Section. The session was moderated by Matt Rossi of Mayer Brown.
