2022 Mid-Atlantic Bar Conference

The 2022 Mid-Atlantic Bar Conference, organized by the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), took place from September 28 to September 30, 2022, in New York City. This annual gathering brought together leaders from the state bars of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia to discuss pressing legal issues, access to justice, and the legal profession, fostering an exchange of ideas to better serve their respective bar communities.

The conference featured a comprehensive program agenda covering a range of timely and important topics pertinent to the legal field. Sessions included discussions on innovations in limited scope family law, temporary protected status for various countries, and overpayments and intentional program violations with a focus on SNAP. Additionally, panels addressed pro bono responses to humanitarian crises, nursing home collections, and emergency assistance for unsheltered individuals, among other subjects.

Attendees had the opportunity to participate in various networking events, including a reception and the Denison Ray Civil Awards dinner, which honored attorneys, directors, and nonprofits for their extraordinary leadership and commitment to access to justice.
