Tenth Annual Symposium on the Law & Economics of Privacy & Data Security
The Tenth Annual Symposium on the Law & Economics of Privacy & Data Security was held on June 3, 2022, at the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School in Arlington, Virginia. Organized by the Program on Economics & Privacy, the symposium convened leading experts to discuss pressing issues at the intersection of law, economics, privacy, and data security.
The event featured sessions on topics such as privacy policies under the new administration, the interplay between competition and consumer protection economics, and the phenomenon of dark patterns in online interfaces. Notable discussions included a fireside chat with FTC Commissioner Noah J. Phillips and a keynote address by Professor William E. Kovacic on antitrust policy transformation during the first year of the Biden administration.
