The 25th Annual Symposium on Intellectual Property Law and Policy is a premier event dedicated to exploring the evolving landscape of intellectual property law. Organized by the University of Akron School of Law's Center for Intellectual Property Law & Technology, this symposium brings together legal professionals, academics, policymakers, and students to discuss and analyze current trends and challenges in the field.
This year's symposium features a judicial roundtable on the effective and ethical use of experts in litigation, with participation from esteemed federal judges. Additional sessions cover topics such as the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court, strategies for serving the MedTech industry, trade secret claims, and the future of non-compete agreements. A keynote address titled "State of the IP Union" will be delivered by Gene Quinn, founder and CEO of IP Watchdog, providing insights into the current state and future of the U.S. intellectual property system.
