The Class-Action Bench-Bar Leadership Summit is an annual event organized by the Rabiej Litigation Law Center, an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing timely litigation issues in ediscovery, class actions, and mass-tort MDLs. The 2026 summit is scheduled to take place on March 12, 2026, at the Charleston School of Law.
This summit will focus on several critical topics, including the joint training of Technology-Assisted Review (TAR) and generative AI search tools, strategies for limiting preservation to key custodians, the impact of mass arbitrations and class action waivers, and the timing of judicial rulings on class-action certification motions. Additionally, the summit will explore effective procedures suggested by opposing parties and conduct a post-mortem analysis of Rule 23(e)(5) amendments concerning objectors.
The event will feature five federal judges alongside 25-30 practicing lawyers and other experts, participating in five panels aimed at developing practical solutions to identified challenges. The summit's limited registration ensures in-depth analysis and enhances the likelihood of courts adopting the recommended best practices.
Attendees can expect valuable networking opportunities with leading professionals in the field, as well as access to comprehensive conference materials. The summit is designed for legal practitioners, judges, and scholars interested in the latest developments and best practices in class-action litigation.
