by United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire

The 2023 Federal Practice Institute is an educational event organized by the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. This institute aims to provide legal professionals with insights into current federal practice and emerging legal challenges.

The program features sessions on the evolving legal challenges presented by artificial intelligence and privacy interests, observations from the bench led by District Judge Elliott and Magistrate Judge Johnstone, and discussions on empirical data regarding women as lead counsel at trial and their roles in private law firms. Additionally, the institute includes an interactive Federal Judge Open Forum and presentations on ethics by Attorney Sara Greene and Attorney David Rothstein.

Attendees will have opportunities for networking during the provided lunch and interactive breakout sessions tailored for civil, criminal, and bankruptcy practitioners. Notable speakers include Attorney John F. Weaver, Attorneys Roberta D. Liebenberg and Stephanie A. Scharf, and representatives from the New Hampshire Supreme Court Attorney Discipline Office.
