The conference covered a wide array of topics, including the rule of law, accountability, and justice. Notably, the Rule of Law Forum hosted a symposium titled "Rule of Law Symposium: Accountability and Justice," addressing challenges related to these principles in the context of global events. Additionally, the Criminal Law Section organized sessions on antitrust enforcement trends, the intersection of arbitration and criminal law, and fair trials in war and product liability cases. The LGBTQI+ Law Committee held panels discussing family law from a global perspective and the confluence of the rule of law and LGBTQI+ issues.
Attendees had opportunities to participate in networking events such as a private tour of the Louvre, a Seine river cruise, and a joint networking dinner for criminal law practitioners. The conference also featured a mock trial showcasing the briber's dilemma in parallel criminal, arbitral, and civil asset recovery proceedings, held at the Premier Chambre de la Cour d’Appel de Paris. Furthermore, the IBA presented annual awards recognizing outstanding contributions to human rights and pro bono work, as well as excellence among young lawyers.
