The Asian Financial Forum (AFF) is Asia's premier platform that brings together influential leaders from government, finance, and business communities worldwide to discuss and exchange insights on the global economy from an Asian perspective. Co-organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 2024 edition took place on January 24-25 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The forum covered a wide array of key topics, including the global economic outlook, opportunities in Mainland China, investment prospects, green finance, financial technology, and multilateral cooperation. Notable sessions introduced in 2024 were "Stewarding China’s New Chapter," analyzing China's links with other regions and Hong Kong's role, and "CIO Insights," where investment leaders shared perspectives on asset allocation amid uncertain investment outlooks.
AFF 2024 featured over 140 global speakers and attracted more than 3,600 participants from over 50 countries and regions. The event provided extensive networking opportunities through its exhibition zones, such as the Fintech Showcase, InnoVenture Salon, and Global Investment Zone, which displayed next-generation financial concepts, start-up developments, and global investment opportunities. Additionally, the AFF Deal-making sessions facilitated over 700 one-on-one meetings, connecting investors with project owners to explore collaboration opportunities.
The forum is ideal for financial professionals, policymakers, business leaders, and investors seeking to gain insights into the latest market trends, explore investment opportunities, and expand their professional networks within the Asian financial landscape.
