Human Rights and Business Academic Forum

The Human Rights and Business Academic Forum is an online event organized by the Council of Europe to foster dialogue among researchers and academics. This half-day forum aims to explore how academic work deepens understanding of the intersection between human rights and business, informs corporate practices, and promotes responsible conduct.

The forum's agenda includes thematic sessions on standards in human rights and business, their implementation, and other academic research in the field. Discussions will cover evolving legal frameworks, implementation challenges, and innovative approaches to advancing corporate responsibility.

Participants will have opportunities for scholarly exchange and networking with peers. Notable speakers include Clare Ovey, Director of Human Rights at the Council of Europe, and Lyra Jakulevičienė, Member of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights.
