International Conference on Law and Technology

The International Conference on Law and Technology, organized by the School of Law at GD Goenka University, took place on June 7th and 8th, 2024. This virtual event convened over 200 academicians, policymakers, industry experts, and research scholars from around the world to discuss the evolving intersection of law and technology.

The conference focused on the theme "Emerging Jurisprudence of Digital Transformation of Law," with a particular emphasis on "Policy Tackling Cyber Threats." Key topics included the adoption of digital technologies in legal processes, ethical implications of artificial intelligence, and regulation of emerging technologies. Notable speakers included Rakesh Maheshwari, former Senior Director and Head of Cyber Laws and Data Governance at the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), and Deepankar Khare, Joint Director of Public Policy at MAIT.
