National eDiscovery Leadership Institute (NeLI) 2024
The National eDiscovery Leadership Institute (NeLI) is an annual conference dedicated to advancing the field of electronic discovery (eDiscovery) by providing high-quality educational opportunities to legal professionals and fostering cooperation between the bench and the bar. Organized by the National eDiscovery Leadership Institute, NeLI aims to deliver comprehensive programs that address the latest developments and challenges in eDiscovery.
The 2024 NeLI conference, held on September 19-20, featured a diverse agenda covering key topics such as ephemeral messaging policies, artificial intelligence in eDiscovery, and ethical considerations in the use of technology-assisted review. Sessions included a fireside chat with Department of Justice representatives discussing their positions on electronic data, a mock hearing on emerging eDiscovery issues, and a judicial panel providing insights into recent case law developments.
Attendees had the opportunity to engage with esteemed speakers, including Hon. Allison H. Goddard of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Robert Keeling, partner at Sidley Austin LLP, and Leeanne Mancari, partner at Covington. The conference also offered networking events, such as a reception and dinner, facilitating connections among professionals in the eDiscovery community.
Legal practitioners, in-house counsel, and eDiscovery specialists seeking to stay abreast of evolving practices and technologies in electronic discovery would find NeLI particularly beneficial. The conference provides a platform for learning from leading experts, participating in interactive sessions, and networking with peers to enhance their understanding and application of eDiscovery principles.
