The 2024 Summer Bar Conference is the annual gathering organized by the Maine State Bar Association (MSBA), scheduled from June 26 to June 28, 2024, at the Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina in Bar Harbor. This event offers legal professionals an opportunity to earn Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits while enjoying the scenic beauty of Maine's coast.
The conference features a diverse range of sessions covering topics such as real estate law, family law, trusts and estates, litigation, succession planning, artificial intelligence, social media, veterans' disability, ethics, bankruptcy, and even space law. A dedicated well-being track addresses various aspects of attorney health, including occupational, intellectual, social, and emotional well-being, with sessions on mentoring and physical health.
Attendees can participate in networking events, including a welcome reception honoring new Life Members, a guided nature walk, and a family-friendly dinner. The conference also includes an awards luncheon recognizing outstanding contributions to the legal community.
Legal professionals at all career stages are encouraged to attend to enhance their knowledge, earn CLE credits, and connect with peers in a collegial environment.
