Innovations in Technology Conference 2025

by Legal Services Corporation

The Innovations in Technology Conference (ITC) is an annual event organized by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC), dedicated to exploring and promoting technological advancements that enhance access to justice for low-income individuals. The 25th edition of the conference took place from January 13 to 15, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, bringing together a diverse group of professionals committed to leveraging technology in the legal aid sector.

The conference featured a wide array of sessions covering key topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) applications in legal services, data-driven decision-making, cybersecurity measures, automation tools, and technologies supporting pro bono and community justice initiatives. A notable pre-conference AI Summit was held on January 12, providing attendees with hands-on workshops and advanced technology demonstrations focused on AI's transformative potential in legal aid.

Attendees had the opportunity to engage in networking sessions, participate in an expo hall showcasing innovative legal tech solutions, and hear from distinguished speakers, including keynote speaker Afua Bruce, a leading public interest technologist and author. The event attracted over 700 participants, including legal aid advocates, technologists, court personnel, law school professors, pro bono coordinators, and other professionals dedicated to enhancing legal services through technology.

The ITC is particularly beneficial for legal aid professionals, technologists, court staff, pro bono coordinators, private attorneys, law school students and professors, and law librarians. It offers a platform to learn about cutting-edge technology projects, share best practices, and collaborate on initiatives aimed at improving the delivery of legal services to underserved communities.
