The International Trademark Association (INTA) hosted its 147th Annual Meeting from May 17 to May 21, 2025, in San Diego, California. This premier event brought together over 10,000 intellectual property professionals, business leaders, government officials, judges, and academics from 139 jurisdictions, marking it as the largest post-pandemic gathering for the association.
The meeting's theme, "The Business of IP," underscored the critical role of intellectual property in driving innovation and business success. The program featured three dynamic tracks: Law and Policy, Business and Technology, and Professional Development and Career Advancement. Attendees had access to more than 50 educational sessions covering cutting-edge topics and emerging trends in the IP landscape.
Beyond the educational offerings, the Annual Meeting provided extensive networking opportunities, including a Welcome Reception and an Innovation Marketplace. Notably, Louise Felton, Vice President of Marketing at Qualcomm Technologies Inc., delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of brand building and the synergy between marketing and legal teams in enhancing brand value.
This event was essential for IP professionals seeking to expand their knowledge, connect with peers, and stay abreast of developments in the field. The diverse range of sessions and networking events catered to both seasoned practitioners and newcomers, offering valuable insights and opportunities for professional growth.
