New England Clinical Conference: Inspiration, Ideation & Innovation
The New England Clinical Conference: Inspiration, Ideation & Innovation is an annual event organized by the Boston University School of Law. Scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, the conference aims to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among legal educators and practitioners. Participants are encouraged to explore innovative approaches to teaching, community engagement, and legal practice.
The 2025 conference will feature a variety of sessions, including presentations, panels, and discussion groups. Topics will cover new ideas for clinic and course design, supervision, community engagement, collaborations, student reflection, assessments, policy projects, law reform, and the development of new clinics or programs. The event seeks to inspire attendees to embrace change and consider unconventional solutions to challenges in legal education and practice.
An evening reception is planned for Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Mighty Squirrel Taproom & Kitchen in Boston, MA. The conference will commence on Friday with registration and breakfast at 8:00 AM, followed by a welcome address from Dean Angela Onwuachi-Willig at 9:05 AM. A plenary session featuring Dr. Charmain Jackman, PhD, is scheduled from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The day will include concurrent sessions on topics such as innovating access to rural justice and pro se litigation assistance programs.
The conference is designed for legal educators, practitioners, and students interested in advancing clinical legal education and community engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, share ideas, and collaborate on innovative projects aimed at enhancing legal education and access to justice.
