The Next Gen Legal Summit: The Fundamentals of International Legal Practice is a comprehensive one-day conference organized by the International Bar Association (IBA). Scheduled for October 3, 2025, at Le Casablanca Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, this event aims to equip young and aspiring legal professionals with essential knowledge and skills pertinent to international legal practice.
The summit will cover a range of critical topics, including new trends in arbitration within Morocco and the broader region, the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on the legal profession, and strategies for career development in a rapidly evolving legal landscape. Sessions are designed to provide both theoretical insights and practical guidance to attendees.
In addition to informative sessions, the event will feature a keynote address by Saad Allah Tounsi from Cabinet Tounsi, Casablanca, Morocco. Nesrine Roudane is the founding partner of Roudane & Partners Law Firm, a Casablanca-based business law firm established in 2008. She is a seasoned business lawyer and litigator, admitted before the Moroccan Court of Cassation, and registered as both an arbitrator in Moroccan jurisdictions and a certified mediator with WIPO/OMPIC. Her practice covers a wide range of areas including corporate and commercial law, cross-border transactions, dispute resolution, labor and employment law, competition, and data protection compliance, with a strong focus on regulatory frameworks in emerging markets, particularly in Morocco and francophone West Africa. Nesrine currently serves as President of the Start-Ups & Venture Capital Commission of the UIA and as Diversity & Inclusion Officer for the Arab Regional Forum of the IBA. She is a Past President of the Legal and Tax Commission of the CFCIM (French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco) and a former elected member of the Casablanca Bar Council. Her clientele includes international investors, multinational corporations, and public institutions engaged in complex matters such as restructuring, litigation, and insolvency proceedings. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Nesrine is widely recognized for her strategic insight, her ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, and her leadership of multidisciplinary legal teams in high-stakes matters.

Wissam Mghazli is a French-Moroccan attorney-at-law registered with the Paris Bar and managing partner of the international business law firm Komon Avocats. With over 10 years of expertise in international arbitration and complex, high-stakes business disputes, he is an experienced litigator, fluent in 5 foreign languages. He mainly represents clients in commercial, institutional and ad hoc arbitration, as well as in international litigation. Wissam particularly handles peripheral arbitration disputes before state courts, notably related to conservatory measures litigations as well as the recognition and enforcement in France of domestic or international arbitral awards. He is also a lecturer in civil law and arbitration law at universities and higher education institutions in France and Cambodia, keeping him up to date with the latest legal developments. Wissam holds a Master of Laws in Business Law and is an alumnus of a French Grande École de Commerce. Having always thrived in multicultural environments, he is co-founder and president of the French-Moroccan Business Lawyers Association (AFMAA), president of the French-Cambodian Lawyers Association (AFCAJ) and member of the board of directors of the French-Japanese Lawyers Association (AAJ). Outside of his legal career, Wissam has practiced piano and karate from a young age and joined the Japan Karate Association (JKA) in 2012. He also has a passion for learning new languages and is an avid fan of American cinema from the latter half of the 20th century.
