Sonia Mittal is a Clinical Lecturer in Law and Associate Research Scholar in Law at Yale Law School, where she teaches the Peter Gruber Rule of Law Clinic. She previously served as Senior Counsel and Assistant U.S. Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, overseeing one of the largest Department of Justice investigations in history. Mittal also served as a Trial Attorney in the National Criminal Enforcement Section of the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, bringing the first charges in the Department’s investigation into criminal price-fixing in the generic pharmaceutical industry. She clerked for Judge Denise L. Cote in the District Court for the Southern District of New York and Chief Judge Robert A. Katzmann in the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. Mittal earned a B.A. and Ph.D. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
