The Lavender Law® Conference & Career Fair, organized by the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, is the largest LGBTQ+ legal conference in the United States, attracting over 2,000 attendees annually. Since its inception in 1988, it has served as a 'family reunion' for LGBTQ+ and ally legal professionals, providing a platform to reflect on shared history and envision the future of the legal profession.
The 2025 conference, held from July 28 to 30 in New York City, featured a diverse range of sessions covering key topics such as employment law, intellectual property, finance law, trust and estates, and family law. Specialized institutes, including the LGBT Family Law Institute® and the Transgender Law Institute, offered in-depth discussions on cutting-edge legal strategies and issues pertinent to the LGBTQ+ community.
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in the annual Career Fair, connecting with over 200 law firms, government agencies, and corporate legal departments committed to diversity and inclusion. The event also included networking sessions, panel discussions, and workshops designed to foster professional development and community building within the LGBTQ+ legal community.
