The Next Phase of AI and Arbitration

"The Next Phase of AI and Arbitration" is a seminar organized by the Law and Technology Centre at The University of Hong Kong. Scheduled for March 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the event will take place in the Academic Conference Room on the 11th floor of the Cheng Yu Tung Tower at The University of Hong Kong. The seminar features Anthony Casey, the Donald M. Ephraim Professor of Law and Economics at the University of Chicago Law School, as the keynote speaker.

The seminar will delve into the transformative impact of generative artificial intelligence and large language models on the practice of arbitration. Key topics include how AI is reshaping arbitration practices, the suitability of arbitration for resolving disputes in rapidly evolving technological fields—particularly intellectual property—and the potential for arbitration firms to lead the transformation of legal practice in the coming years. The event will be moderated by Dr. Pangyue Cheng, a Global Academic Fellow at The University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law.
