10th EFiC Conference in Banking and Corporate Finance

The 10th EFiC Conference in Banking and Corporate Finance, organized by the Essex Finance Centre (EFiC), will take place on June 25–26, 2026, at Essex Business School. This annual event aims to unite leading academics, practitioners, and policymakers to present and discuss cutting-edge research in banking and corporate finance.

The 2026 conference will feature a special stream on climate finance, developed in collaboration with King’s Business School. This stream will address operational challenges in the banking and corporate sectors, focusing on pricing, modeling, and regulating climate risk in a volatile macroeconomic environment. Additionally, the conference will include sessions on cooperative banks, sponsored by Federcasse, and macro-finance, sponsored by the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis–Europe (RCEA-Europe). A dedicated PhD session will provide research students with the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from expert mentors.

Keynote speakers for the event include Professor Cláudia Custódio from Imperial College London and Professor Iftekhar Hasan from Fordham University, both renowned for their contributions to finance research. The conference will also offer networking opportunities, including a conference dinner on June 25, 2026, facilitating connections among attendees.
