9th Global Arbitration & Litigation Conference (GLA) 2026

The 9th Global Arbitration & Litigation Conference (GLA) 2026 is a premier international forum dedicated to the evolving landscape of dispute resolution. Organized by the Global Legal Association, the conference is scheduled for April 23–24, 2026, at the Asawin Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. It aims to convene a diverse and influential cohort of arbitrators, in-house counsel, policymakers, and dispute resolution professionals from across jurisdictions.

Over two intensive days, the conference will examine how dispute resolution mechanisms are adapting to rapid global shifts—ranging from geopolitical realignments and economic integration to technological disruption. With Asia emerging as a central hub for cross-border commerce and dispute resolution, the discussions will carry particular relevance for stakeholders operating in increasingly interconnected legal ecosystems.

The agenda reflects the complexity and breadth of contemporary disputes. Key focus areas include cross-border disputes within ASEAN and enforcement strategies, construction and infrastructure conflicts arising from large-scale projects, and the growing competition among arbitration hubs in Asia. The role of technology—particularly artificial intelligence and digital transformation—will also feature prominently, alongside sessions on corporate investigations, white-collar compliance, and litigation funding.

Further, the conference will address sector-specific disputes such as maritime, trade, and logistics conflicts, as well as intellectual property challenges in the digital economy. Emerging areas like ESG and climate litigation are expected to draw significant attention, highlighting how sustainability considerations are reshaping legal risk and accountability. Discussions will also extend to crisis management, governance in multinational corporations, and the evolving role of legal professionals—including arbitrators, litigators, and in-house teams—leading up to 2030.
