The Asian Corporate Law Forum (ACLF) was established in 2023 to become the leading organization for scholarship on corporate law and governance in Asia. The 2026 ACLF Conference was co-hosted by Monash Business School, Monash Faculty of Law, and the School of Business at Monash University Malaysia, bringing together 11 of Asia's top law departments renowned for their expertise in corporate law and governance.
The conference featured a public seminar titled "Beyond the Bottom Line: Business as a Force for Good," focusing on how businesses are creating solutions to global challenges such as poverty and inequality. Keynote speakers included Datin Wira Goh Suet Lan, President of Women of Will Malaysia, who shared insights on transformative collaborations empowering marginalized women and families, and Mr. Philip Koh, Senior Partner at Mah-Kamariyah and Adjunct Professor at Monash University Malaysia, who drew from his extensive experience in legal practice and industry. A multi-country panel offered fresh regional perspectives on corporate law and social impact.
The event provided ample networking opportunities, allowing participants to engage with leading scholars and practitioners in the field of corporate law. Notable speakers and panelists offered diverse insights into the evolving role of corporate law in addressing societal issues. The conference also included an expo hall showcasing recent research and publications from participating institutions.
