Centre for Legal Education Conference 2026

The Centre for Legal Education Conference 2026, titled "The Future Begins Now," is the seventh international conference organized by the Centre for Legal Education at Nottingham Law School. This event aims to bring together a diverse group of participants involved in legal education, including professional regulators, legal sector employers, researchers, librarians, information professionals, and new lawyers, fostering a collaborative environment to discuss and advance legal education practices.

The conference will explore several key themes, such as new contexts of learning and working, the challenges and joys of technology, sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the inclusion of new voices from students and new lawyers. Additionally, in collaboration with Queen's University's Faculty of Law (Canada) and the International Symposium on Reflective Practice for Legal Professionals, the event will delve into reflective learning, inquiry, and practice, highlighting the benefits of this professional competency for legal professionals.

The conference is scheduled from Monday, 29 June 2026, to Friday, 3 July 2026. Online sessions will be held in the mornings and afternoons from Monday to Thursday, while the in-person segment is planned for Friday. The in-person event has limited capacity, and interested participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot. For those unable to attend in person, the online sessions provide a flexible alternative to engage with the conference content.
