Coase-Sandor Institute Law and Economics Workshop
The Coase-Sandor Institute for Law and Economics at the University of Chicago Law School organizes the Law and Economics Workshop series, a platform for scholars to present and discuss cutting-edge research at the intersection of law and economics. These workshops are held regularly during the academic year and are open to the public, fostering an environment of critical questioning and peer discussion.
The workshops cover a diverse range of topics, including contract law, corporate governance, finance, taxation, environmental regulation, energy policy, and criminal justice. Each session features a presentation by a distinguished scholar, followed by a discussion that encourages engagement and debate among attendees.
Notable speakers have included Professor Eleanor Wilking from Cornell Law School and Professor Eric Martinez from the University of Chicago Law School. These sessions provide opportunities for networking and collaboration among academics, practitioners, and students interested in law and economics.
The workshops are particularly beneficial for legal scholars, economists, policymakers, and students seeking to deepen their understanding of how economic principles influence legal frameworks and vice versa.
