The "Dispute Resolution in the International Energy Business" conference is a two-day event scheduled for October 15-16, 2026, at The Langham in London. Co-hosted by the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN), this conference aims to address the complexities of dispute resolution within the global energy sector.
The conference will feature sessions on a range of topics, including state-to-state disputes, investor-state disputes, oil and gas commercial disputes across the upstream to downstream sectors, decommissioning disputes, damages in energy disputes, natural resource disputes impacting the energy sector, alternative energy disputes, and energy infrastructure disputes. Each session will be led by experts who will provide insights through speeches, presentations, roundtable discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions.
Attendees will have opportunities to network during scheduled breaks, lunches, and a drinks reception at the end of the first day. The event will also feature notable speakers such as Gary Born from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, who will deliver the keynote address on "The Impact of Energy Disputes on the Arbitration World."
This conference is designed for in-house counsel of oil, gas, and alternative energy companies, independent practitioners, law firms advising the energy sector, commercial and technical personnel from energy companies, government officials, arbitrators, mediators, consultants, and academics interested in current developments and best practices in the energy industry.
