HNBA 2026 Legislative Day

by Hispanic National Bar Association

The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan, national membership organization that represents the interests of Hispanic legal professionals in the United States and its territories. The HNBA is also committed to advocacy on issues of importance to the Hispanic community living in the United States. While we are proud of our more than four decades of work and accomplishments, we are mindful that our mission is as vital today as it was the day of our founding in 1972. Nationally, the organization is directed by the HNBA Board of Governors, which consists of executive officers (elected by HNBA members), the 19 regional presidents, and the presidents of over 30 affiliate organizations across the country. As the National Voice of the Hispanic Legal Community, the HNBA also has multiple councils, divisions, sections and committees dedicated to advancing the interests of its members, as well as addressing substantive legal issues that impact the Hispanic community and the nation. If you wish to learn more about the work of the different HNBA divisions, sections and committees, please visit our Leadership section.

The HNBA is based in Washington, DC. The HNBA National Office is led by the HNBA Executive Director and the national staff, who collectively work to assist the National President and the Board of Governors to plan and carry out all of our national, regional and local programs. With additional representation in 19 regions throughout the United States and its territories, HNBA Regional Presidents and members of the HNBAs Board of Governors work to ensure the execution of HNBA programs by collaborating with over 30 HNBA Affiliate Organizations.

The HNBA advocates on Capitol Hill for issues that have an impact on Hispanic legal professionals and the U.S. Hispanic community. The HNBA network includes 19 regions and over 50 Affiliate bar and Associate organizations across the United States and its territories, and abroad, offering a diverse and culturally rich professional network, as well as mentoring and career opportunities.
