2026 SIAM Conference on the Life Sciences (LS26)
The 2026 SIAM Conference on the Life Sciences (LS26) is a premier event organized by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). Scheduled from July 6 to July 9, 2026, at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio, this conference serves as a cross-disciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners in the life sciences to exchange ideas and advancements in mathematical and computational methods.
The conference will cover a wide array of topics, including biofluids and biomechanics, cell biology and biophysics, disease dynamics and epidemiology, ecology and evolution, mathematical biology education, mathematical methods in life sciences, mathematical physiology and quantitative pharmacology, machine learning and AI approaches in life sciences, neuroscience and behavior, and systems biology. These sessions aim to facilitate the rapid diffusion of new methodologies and applications in the life sciences.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of networking opportunities, including special events such as prize lectures and minitutorials. Notable invited speakers include Lorin Crawford from Microsoft Research, Heather Harrington from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, and Dagmar Iber from ETH Zürich, among others. The conference will also feature joint sessions with the 2026 SIAM Annual Meeting, the SIAM Conference on Applied Mathematics Education, and the SIAM Conference on Mathematics of Planet Earth, providing a broader platform for interdisciplinary collaboration.
This conference is ideal for mathematicians, life scientists, computational biologists, bioengineers, and others interested in the mathematical and computational analysis of biological systems. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with leading experts, discover cutting-edge research, and contribute to the advancement of the life sciences through quantitative methods.
