Symposium: The Law School of the Future
The University of Westminster's Centre for Legal Education and the Legal Profession is hosting its second annual hybrid symposium, 'The Law School of the Future,' on 8 September 2026. This event aims to unite legal educators, academics, practitioners, and sector stakeholders to discuss the evolving landscape of legal education and the profession. Attendees can participate either on campus at Westminster Law School in London or online.
The symposium will feature a series of sessions covering topics such as curriculum innovation, student engagement, employability, wellbeing, ethics, generative AI, legal technology, and the future role of the 'human lawyer.' Discussions will focus on how law schools can best prepare the next generation of lawyers in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving world. The event also offers opportunities to share research, practical approaches, and best practices while strengthening connections across the legal education community.
Attendance is free, but registration is essential. Those interested in presenting at the symposium can find the Call for Papers on the event's website. For further information, please contact Dr. Marloes Spreeuw, Director of the Centre for Legal Education and the Legal Profession, at [email protected].
This symposium is ideal for legal educators, academics, practitioners, and stakeholders interested in the future of legal education and the profession. It provides a platform to engage with peers, share insights, and collaborate on shaping the future of legal education.
