2026 Texas Conference for Employers

The Texas Conference for Employers (TCE) is an annual series of seminars organized by the Texas Workforce Commission's Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers. These events are designed to provide Texas businesses with essential resources and information to navigate employment laws and best practices. The 2026 TCE series commenced in January and is scheduled to continue through September, with conferences held in various cities across the state.

Each conference covers a range of topics pertinent to employers, including Texas and federal employment laws, wage and hour regulations, unemployment claims and appeals, independent contractors, employee policy handbooks, drug testing, workplace privacy issues, and background checks. These sessions aim to equip employers with the knowledge to manage their workforce effectively and in compliance with legal requirements.

The conferences are co-sponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management Texas State Council (Texas SHRM), offering professional development credits to attendees. Additionally, attorneys can earn up to 6 hours of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit by attending the entire conference. The events also provide opportunities for networking with peers and engaging with employment attorneys.
