We Robot 2026 is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed conference that convenes leading scholars and practitioners to explore the legal, ethical, and policy implications of robotics and emerging digital technologies. Since its inception in 2012, the conference has been hosted at esteemed institutions such as Yale, Stanford, Ottawa, Seattle, Miami, Boston, and Windsor. The 2026 edition marks the event's expansion to Europe, with Berlin serving as the host city.
The conference will focus on a comparative analysis of global regulatory approaches to AI and robotics, aiming to foster mutual learning and dialogue. Key topics include agentic AI, robot ethics, and the development of responsible, accessible, and trustworthy technologies for the common good. Sessions will feature individual paper presentations and panel discussions designed to facilitate meaningful interdisciplinary engagement.
Attendees can participate in a pre-conference workshop on April 23, 2026, at the House of Robotics and Wikimedia Deutschland, offering hands-on activities and deep dives into conference themes. The main conference on April 24 and 25, 2026, will be held at buM – Place for Solidarity, featuring a structured program of presentations and discussions. A conference dinner on April 24 will provide additional networking opportunities.
We Robot 2026 is ideal for scientists, policymakers, business leaders, and experts interested in the rapid advancements in robotics and AI. The event offers a platform to discuss shared strategies, engage with cutting-edge research, and connect with a diverse community dedicated to shaping the future of technology.
