Rainer Markfort

Dr. Rainer Markfort is a corporate partner at Dentons based in Berlin. His practice comprises compliance and regulatory advice, supporting companies’ management in internal investigations and in setting up compliance management systems. Rainer joined Dentons in 2015 and co-led the initiative to form the Global Compliance & Investigation Group. In 2019, he became a global Director of Client Solutions Innovation in Dentons' global innovation team, helping to accelerate innovation and support the creation of client-facing solutions. Rainer is a member of the board of DICO – Deutsches Institut für Compliance e.V. (German Institute for Compliance) and co-head of DICOinnovativ, a project group working on digital compliance solutions. He is also an active member of the Liquid Legal Institute e.V. and contributes to various innovation initiatives. Rainer lectures at the University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, the Frankfurt School for Management and Finance, and the German Lawyers Academy, and regularly publishes on innovation topics.
