Ruth Bader Ginsburg served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1993 until her passing in 2020. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a trailblazer for women's rights and gender equality. Prior to her appointment to the Supreme Court, she was a professor of law and co-founded the Women’s Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union.
