The Taiwan AI Center of Excellence (Taiwan AICoE) is hosting a forum titled "Adapting to the Evolving AI Legal and Policy Landscape" on December 4th, 2023. This event aims to address the rapid advancements in AI technology and their profound impacts on economic, social, legal, and democratic aspects of society. The forum seeks to explore the development of Responsible AI policies and guidelines, emphasizing the importance of ethical and legal standards in AI applications, ensuring model interpretability and trustworthiness, and preventing societal discrimination.

The event will feature a keynote presentation by Prof. Lee Tiedrich, an expert affiliated with the OECD and GPAI AI, who will discuss "Adapting to the Evolving AI Legal and Policy Landscape: Unpacking the US AI Executive Order and Other New Developments." Additionally, a roundtable discussion with domestic experts and scholars will focus on "Challenges and Responses in the Rapid Development of AI," covering topics such as the international evolution of AI policies and Responsible AI. The forum aims to delve into AI development trends and challenges related to intellectual property and data rights, with the goal of formulating policy and legal framework recommendations to protect citizens' rights and ensure societal stability in the AI era.

The forum will take place in-person at the Technology Building, located at No. 106, Section 2, Heping East Road, Da'an District, Taipei City, specifically in Room 13 on the 2nd Floor.
