Mark R. Meador
Commissioner at Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
Mark R. Meador was sworn in on April 16, 2025, as a Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission. He previously worked in private practice and as a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation Tech Policy Center. Prior roles include Deputy Chief Counsel for Antitrust and Competition Policy for Senator Mike Lee and trial attorney in the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. He began his career in the FTC’s Bureau of Competition. Meador holds a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and an undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Chicago.
